CBCT stands for Cone Beam Computed Tomography. CBCT scan is a technology used to take three dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, maxillary sinus, nerve pathways, and bone in the maxillofacial region with a single scan. The CBCT system rotates around the patient in approximately 30 seconds, capturing data using a cone-shaped x-ray beam.

This system can now take an immediate scan for patients with lower radiation dosage and without the inconvenience of sending them to an outside facility. Once the scan is performed, an immediate review and 3D rendering is displayed to help our patients truly visualize and better understand treatment options. These scans can easily be shared with other doctors, perform less invasive procedures through increased precision, thus reducing risks for patients and ensuring you get the best possible result.
